Why Choose Us
Our Passion for Positive Birth Experiences
Meet Andrea
Andrea has an extensive history as a caregiver. Her love for children, especially babies, came at an early age (14) when her youngest sister was born. She would assist her mother with caring for her baby sister. After graduating from school, she pursued different career paths, but she always returned to her first love and passion: caring and supporting families, (her Spanish-Italian heritage attests that)!
Andrea’s call to postpartum doula and newborn care support came after spending over 20 years as a trained career nanny for infants and toddlers, supporting many diverse families. So, it was natural for her to make the transition into the doula world. She is a CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association) certified postpartum Doula.
After helping more families, she realized that breastfeeding support was an integral part of the postpartum journey, so she decided to pursue more education on lactation. In 2022 she became a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice (ALPP).
Andrea is also going through clinical training/mentorship to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), the gold standard certification for health professionals working with breastfeeding families.
She is always attending workshops and seminars to strengthen her knowledge, further her education and support families to the best of her ability.
Andrea strongly believes that the postpartum period is a special time that should be tended to with the utmost consideration. The importance of healing for the birthing parent and bonding with the new baby should be the primary concern during the postpartum period. She is committed to guiding you through supportive postnatal care, allowing you time to gently recover from childbirth and providing companionship and reassurance in the journey into parenthood. She will help with newborn soothing, sleep, breastfeeding and creating healthy routines. All her training and skills are at your service, so you will feel prepared and confident. Andrea also nurtures new moms and assists in both emotional and physical recovery. She also enjoys preparing nutritious postpartum meals.
“I firmly believe that the best thing that mom can do for baby is to take good care of herself.”

TESTIMONIALS
What our clients say
Andrea worked with our family for a number of overnights visits. She started when our daughter was one week old. At first she would help me with breastfeeding and eventually I would pump and she would bottle feed her. Andrea was a reassuring presence, and we were extremely comfortable leaving our daughter in her care while we enjoyed some desperately needed sleep! If we had another baby, we would certainly give her another call, and would otherwise wholeheartedly recommend her to others.

We hired Andrea as a night doula to allow us to catch up on some sleep because our son woke up frequently for long stretches in the night for the first few weeks after he was born.
Andrea was an excellent doula – she was very gentle and caring with our son. In addition to staying with him and feeding him when he woke during the night, she also offered to help with additional chores around the house such as laundry and cleaning and sanitizing the baby’s bottles. She emphasized that her role was to not only help us with our son’s sleep but also to make things easier for me, which was so appreciated. She is very experienced working with babies and gave us lots of additional sleep and general baby resources which were very helpful. I felt at ease talking with her and inviting her into our home.
I highly recommend Andrea to anyone who is looking for a caring, kind, trustworthy and warm doula!

I hired Andrea as a post-partum doula because she came across as very caring and experienced in the Zoom interview. She also has her lactation certification and I anticipated needing support with breastfeeding. She checked in with me frequently via text even before she started. When she came to my home after we were discharged from the hospital her experience, knowledge, caring nature and professionalism were obvious. She jumped in right away to help and shared so many practical tips for breastfeeding and baby care which I was able to implement right away. Her support and encouragement were invaluable to get myself and baby off to a healthy start at home. I also appreciated that she keeps herself updated with the latest research and evidence to support her practice. This was my second baby and I wish I had hired a doula like Andrea for my first baby.
